I'm a portrait photographer.
Ive always enjoyed watching people
(and sometimes the people watchers
--- people watching people watchers watch people).
When I work,
I form a non-formal,
non-verbal construct
of how to convey,
in one single print
the essence of a person.
Call me a voyeur but the notion exists that any photographer is a voyuer.
I work in a different way than other photographers do.
I don't like to give much instruction and whenever I do
Ill just give very basic pose ideas, ie. where to look, etc.
I prefer to let a subject be natural.
My method is to capture a much more realistic portrait.
I use primarily traditional film.
I prefer to shoot B&W film but from time to time I shoot color.
If you value quality over convenience, and seek an archival artistic image,
I can provide that. I make all of my prints by hand in the darkroom with love.
I shoot in Seattle and now, Portland !
I am open to other travel as well!
